North Beach Athletics have won 2nd & 3rd place in this year’s annual 120m Open Hamersley Gift!

The Blues had 5/8 runners into the final with AWD champion Andrew Bannister (below far left) taking 2nd place from Ben ‘Bomber’ Clark (above left) in third position. Tim Branston (below, second from right) who made the final last year took out 5th place with Captain Steve Rafty (below far right) and last year’s winner Mathew Short (above right) deadheating for 6th. The race was won by Tennielle Triggwell (below second from left) from Surf Lifesaving WA.

In the 550m race North Beach were well represented again with Andrew Bannister taking out 4th place with fellow Blues members Fraser Fullerton (6th), Steven Rafty (9th), Leigh Edwards (12th) and Adrian Biemmi (13th). The race was won by Kirstie Morrison from Mandurah/Rockingham.

Thanks to Hamersley Little Athletics Centre for hosting this magnificent event which was supported by a large crowd. Another great job by commentator Mark Blatchfod and well done to all the Blues members, officials and all runners who took part. Full Results
