North Beach Athletics welcomes proud supporter Tony Krsticevic MLA to our club!

Representing the electorate of Carine is both an honour and a privilege which I will always hold in high regard.

Since my election in September 2008, I have been actively involved in the community dealing with issues such as:

  • the redevelopment of the Carine TAFE site;
  • unruly Homeswest tenants;
  • the Karrinyup Lakes Lifestyle Village;
  • coastal erosion at Watermans Bay;
  • revitalization of the Henderson Environmental Centre;
  • supporting local community groups;
  • the bid for underground power;
  • hoons and graffiti.

As a father of three, one of my main concerns is improving and maintaining community safety. We all have a right to feel safe, and I will be working hard with the Minister for Police to improve community safety throughout the electorate of Carine.    Environmentally sustainable development is very important to me. I am keen to make sure that our natural environment is protected for future generations.

Tony Krsticevic

MLA Member for Carine

Tony presents the awards at ‘The Hamersley Gift’ 2011

Tony was born in Croatia in 1966 and migrated to Australia in 1969, his father arriving first to establish a home in Bassendean for the Krsticevic family.

Tony’s parents’ influence as hard-working immigrants to this country is something he is very proud of – as he is of his Australian citizenship. Tony was raised in a family in which hard work, respect and a belief in one’s ability to succeed, formed the fundamental principles of his childhood.

Tony has a Bachelor of Business degree, with a major in accounting and computing. A 20-year career at the Australian Taxation Office provided Tony with a strong professional background in business, accounting, management and strategic planning.

Tony also has a strong, lifelong commitment to improving our society through personal involvement at a political and community level.

Successful in the 6 September 2008 election, Tony proudly became the Parliamentary representative for the electorate of Carine and since that day, has actively worked in the community.

Helping others is what Tony’s life has always been about. As a Member of Parliament, he has been granted the opportunity to turn that passion into a profession and given him the chance to really make a difference in the community.

First and foremost, Tony is involved in the local community. He is happily married with three children and is the patron of a number of local community groups.

His list of business commitments is extensive. Tony is proud of his origins and has taken a leading role with business and social groups in Western Australia.

Tony’s aim as the Member for Carine is to have a positive impact on our society, make a better future for our children and help members of the community.
