U16 North Beach athlete David Mahood wins the 4kg mens hammer again with a throw of 21.68m at WAAS. He performed solidly in the mens 1kg discus with a 3rd place throw of 25.92m, and mens 4kg shot put placed 4th with 8.25m. Fellow thrower Courtney Korck performed well in her debut season as well with 3rd placing in her pet event the womens shot put throwing 7.68m. She also finished 3rd in the womens discus throwing 18.28m, and 4th in the womens hammer with a throw of 18.49m.
In the 100m it was 12yo Jarrod De Rosario who lead the way for the blues posting the quickest time in his age group with 13.16 (0.9). Cole Unasa continues his great form and ran another PB, finishing 3rd in heat 1 with 11.14 (1.4). Leigh Edward ran solidly with 11.51 (0.9) and backed it up by winning with an impressive 23.11 (1.2) in the mens open 200m.
