Sacred Heart College student and NBA junior captain Jess Mondello has won 3rd place in the U/18’s 100m at the WA All Schools championships. After winning her heat an hour earlier,  she competed well to medal in the high pressure final at the WA Athletics Stadium. Jess made the 200m final the previous day.

Earlier in the day Joondalup U/14 student Paige Gavranich lead all the way in the 400m, just getting nudged into 4th place. Paige just missed out on making the 200m final the previous day.

Ella Italiano-Schmidt won a silver medal in the U/14 girls 200m hurdles. All round athlete Taylor Watson finished in the medals as well by taking 3rd place in the U/14 girls high jump with a leap of 1.45m.

North Beach Athletics ‘Junior Captain’ Tim Branston (pictured above second from right in all blue) ran on well to finish 5th in the U/18 100m final. Tim showed great support and leadership for his fellow team members, making the 200m final the previous day as well.

Tom Middleditch, also from Joondalup finished a creditable 5th placing in the U/16 100m final.
